Day 24

Jaclyn and I heard the fantastic news that Paradise on Mount Rainier was opening for the first time this year. We got an annual pass so we'll be visiting often. It was a perfect day. So amazing. Got to see and do so much. Went on a nice little hike through a beautiful area and then tromped through 3 feet of snow. Mount Rainier...RULES! Can't wait to go back. This here is Castle Rock, at left, and Pinnacle Peak on right. In my mind the whole time I would desaturate this for added drama. I actually really like it with the bright blue skies. It's surreal to imagine that as Washington because it's so rare especially on this day. I'll post the black and white because I believe that's how I'll have it printed.

Day 23

Beautiful you may say. Colorful sunsets ranging in a multitude of colors. This sunset here sickens me. Off to the left you get the small glimpse of the somewhat "true" sunset blue and yellow, but what is this? A deep dark orange glow? Where does it come from. Well this coloring in this photograph is actually the city of Tacoma in all it's glory. The Port of Tacoma contributes to most of this. Ahh...pollution. What a beautiful sight to behold.

Day 22

So these rainy spring days are killing me. If I finally get my arse off the couch and go shoot photos, I am hit with a brick wall of rain. I was at the hospital in Puyallup which overlooks downtown and you can see out to Tacoma a bit. But I watched this storm approach and it was truly cool. I took like 5 shots in the same spot and you could see where the rain clouds had advanced towards me over the trees and it was no more than 2 minutes later that I was running to the car. It was pretty epic. It makes me want to live in the woods so I can watch the seasons and feel the storms. Anyways this is a shot of a rain cloud in front of the sunset.

Day 21

Another basically fruitless day. I went to the elementary school near my house that I grew up skateboarding at. Hadn't been there in a long time. This is of a pretty much historical seven stair that I conquered at a young age. The run up and landing are by far the worst that I've ever skated. And yet I'd probably visited that set dozens of times. It was good to remember. So today it's a lame photo of something completely inanimate that no one will like. But before anyone complains, I don't care. This was a good memory.

Day 20

So one day 20 I lacked motivation and inspiration and ended up back at Wildwood Park only to putz around and really not feel like shooting anything. I took this self portrait because I liked all the leading lines. I should really reshoot it because my body isn't very sharp at all. Anyways here's day 20 for you.
