Day 1

So I've just bought a Nikon D200 and figure what better time than now to start this expedition. Day 1 was easy. I left for work about 15 minutes early and was able to stop at this spot I see on my way in every day. You drive over a small bridge and off to your right you look off and see this nice little area with stream. It immediately catches my eye on days like this because the fog that comes off the stream. I'd tried to shoot photos of it before but being that the sun rises just over the hill, I was unable because I'd be shooting straight into the sun.. I'm amazed how well the D200 manages light. Having the ability to shoot from f3.5 to f36 is something truly beneficial. I'm pretty pleased in the way this came out. I'm not happy that I had accidently set the "Optimize Image" to Portrait but it's all good.
