Day 5

Day 5 begun for me at 6:30am with the arrival of a sudden downpour with me and Jaclyn, my girlfriend, stranded in our "un-waterproof" tent. Quickly, in the freezing morning rain we stuffed all the sleeping bags, pillows, etc. into the cab of Jaclyn's pickup. We then took down the tent and threw it in the bed of the truck. So we're thinking "okay let's just call it good and head home". We get to the front of the campground only to find out the gate doesn't open until 8:00. Keep in mind that it's only 6:30. So we decide to sit in the truck for an hour and a half. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the sun would break through by 7:00 and we were able to start a fire and have some breakfast. I hardly managed to shoot anything during the day because the conditions just weren't ideal. Anyways I wanted to leave our mark on this fine campsite, consider it vandalism if you will, but I etched our initials and the date into the picnic table. I promise I'll have some good photos in the days coming. Thanks for those who have kept up with me.
