Day 17

So I've recently started a formal study on tree bark in the Northwest and I was partial to the one I shot today of a Cherry Blossom tree so I'm using it for day 17. I was keen on the idea of shooting down into the crotch of the tree because at first I was just going to shoot the area of a branch meeting the trunk. I really love this bark. Tonight I've been unable (that and I'm lazy) to gather some information on what's going on with this tree during this time of the year. I'm not sure what the greenish fuzz is or the white scales but check back for when I uncover said info.
